It is a the most important and major branch of Ayurveda. It comprises the various things described in texts like the different kinds of therapies including ‘Panchkarma’. 

In Dayanand Ayurvedic College; Department is running smoothly under Dr.Rakesh Pawar, Professor and iminant ayurvedic consultant. He is M.D.(Ayu.) and Ph.D. from National Institute of Ayurepartment are Dr.Sanjeev Sood, M.D.(Kayachikitsa). Department conducts various clinical and academic activities like Clinical Seminars and Medical camps for the benefit of students and general public. From time to time department invites guest lectures on specialized branch of medicine for reorientation of departmental teachers and for benefit of final professional students. 

Department comprises Hygiene, Rasayana, Vajikarna, Panchkarma and main stream of Ayurvedic therapy along with identification of drugs described in old classical texts. 

Department is running OPD and IPD. 40-50 patients of various diseases visit the OPD daily. Various patients are admitted in the hospital for treatment of chronic diseases. Department is running daily OPDs for various chronic and hard to cure disease with Ayurvedic pattern of therapy.
